GUESS WHAT?!

I sold three comic books!

I know that’s no big deal. Three. But I did it pretty easy. One to a co-worker, one to an ex co-worker and my buddy, Willie and one to the wifey. I’m sure I’ll sell more in person locally. There are some folks across the country and across the world that want one, too and I’m working on it – trying to find ways to sell them. I only had 20 made and that seems like a short run but I wasn’t sure if I should maintain an inventory or not because you know this is the first time I’ve ever done this – make a comic book.

So today, I’m at a local coffee shop where I sold the copy to my pal, Willie and the proprietor of the coffee shop sees it and inquires. Willie, in all his excitement, shares that I made it and she immediately offers to sell the book in her shop. WOW! I was shocked and happy. I told her I’d return with the comic book and give her a free copy for her and her family to enjoy. And THEN she gives me the info of a local bookstore and told me to take copies to her to sell in her store as well. WOWZERS!

So that gets me thinking. I should stop picking up extra shifts at my part time job and get busy making the next comic book, focus on selling this first one and get ready to start making merchandise, too. ‘Cause you never know. I’m kinda blown away and we’re talking just a small batch. I gotta get more printed, set up a store front, talk to my neighbor the marketing guy, and make the next one which will be another undertaking. I just wish I worked 8 hour days instead of just 5 hours but maybe that will change too. You never know.

What does that mean for you reading this? I updated the website and plan to make more content for here and well, it means BUY MY COMIC BOOK – or drop a donation at my ko-fi if you feel inclined. I’m not expected anyone to do that so surprise me, eh?

Oh and have a Muscly kind of day,
Ben
