Moved to a new home in a valley of Southern Oregon, dandelion farmers Penny and Perry Winkle have found a new community in their midst. Join them as they meet their neighbors, creating new friendships, engaging in lively conversation and sharing that “It’s okay to be you!” as a mutual respect and acceptance.

I created the Winkles in 2023. They were a means to vent my frustrations with life, family and work. As time went on, several financial supporters fell in love with their personal views on life and asked me to continue their comic but time took over andI failed to continue their journey.

2025 – Now they have an entire book series in the works. THE WINKLES : MEET THE NEIGHBORS is the first chapter. THE WINKLES : GO TO TOWN is the second and THE WINKLES : ADOPT A FRIEND is the third. The Winkles represent kindness, friendship, family and joy. They are flawed, fallible and struggle just like everyone else. Their personal hopes are rooted in a universal foundational belief that “It’s Okay to Be You”. Where hope and joy that combat all that’s negative will turn positive. And a kind word can and will turn any frown into a smile. Because you’re as strong if not stronger through humility and hope.
